2003: Mandy focuses on developing a programme of events and building an online community for Make Sparks Fly.
The latest forum addresses the topic 'Music Piracy - Victimless Crime Or Outright Theft?' and is moderated by Ruth Soedentorp, Professor of Intellectual Property Education at Bournemouth University. She is joined by high profile speakers from the music industry: musicians, entertainment lawyers, record company executives, entertainment accountants and peer-to-peer network operators.
Mandy Haberman is nominated for a Special Recognition Award from the Global Women Inventors and Innovators Network (GWIIN), whose stated goal is to 'promote, recognise and celebrate the achievements of women inventors and innovators while raising awareness of the positive contribution that women bring to the economy.'
In February, Mandy is recognised with a 'Special Achievement Award' from the Suffolk Branch of the Institute of Directors for her "market leading innovation...legal success against the odds to maintain patent rights...and campaigning to help others in this [same infringed] situation."
Starting in February, Mandy begins a series of monthly appearances on BBC 3-Counties Radio, discussing topics related to invention and innovation.
Mandy Haberman's appointment to the Intellectual Property Advisory Committee (IPAC) has been extended until August 31, 2004. IPAC is tasked with providing Ministers and officials with long-term strategic advice on a range of intellectual property (IP) issues including patents, copyright, trademarks and design in a social and economic context, as well as emerging issues.
Mandy also has a full programme of speaking engagements scheduled in addition to a number of other exciting inventions in the pipeline that are launched later this year. These include:

2004: In January Mandy is shortlisted as a finalist of the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Award www.veuveclicquotaward.com nominated by Dawn Gibbins MBE, Chairman of Flowcrete Group plc, winner of the previous year's award.
During the year Mandy embarks on an extensive programme of speaking engagements continuing with her IPR reform campaigning.
She is the Keynote speaker at the official launch of 'Valuing Intellectual Property in Japan, Britain and the United States' The book is edited by Dr. Ruth Taplin, with contributions from the foremost authorities in the field from Britain, Japan and the United States. It assesses the process of valuation of Intellectual Property and how we can calculate it in all its different forms from a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspective.
In June, Mandy Haberman participates in a panel discussion for Women Mean Business, as part of the Sunday Times UK Business Week. The Sunday Times UK Business Week is a series of highly targeted inspirational events specifically designed to give Owners, Chief Executives, Managing Directors, Finance Directors, Partners and Senior Board Directors of fast growth companies access to the inspiration, information and solutions to help improve the bottom line. Participants at the Women Mean Business event held at the QE11 Conference Centre, London, are some of the UK’s most inspirational business women, including winners and finalists of the prestigious Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year Award.
She is guest speaker at a seminar for the IP Advisory Committee of the BioIndustry Association. The title of the seminar is "How to make your IP work for you - cost effective approaches to enforcing your IPR". Part of the seminar deals with views from different people on how to make litigation accessible.
In November, Mandy joins an expert panel who hold a debate in the Dana Centre at South Kensington to decide on the greatest British invention from the shortlist. A feature on the outcome of the debate is published in the Times on Saturday 27th November 2004.
